There has never been a better time to ski or snowboard in North America with your Epic pass. So how do you get there? The key entry points for Australians are Los Angeles, San Francisco, Vancouver, Honolulu, Denver and Dallas.
There are many airlines that fly to North America, Qantas (LA, San Fran, Dallas) Virgin Australia (LA), United Airlines (LA, San Fran) Delta (LA), Jetstar (Honolulu), Hawaiian Airlines (Honolulu) Air Canada (Vancouver)
These cities are awesome stopovers with plenty of attractions and great shopping.
Once you are in the USA you can opt to take advantage of budget airlines like Spirit and Southwest where you can fly from as little as $49.00!!! Or you may like to fly direct to the USA connecting with a carrier who will check your luggage through to your final destination.
In the USA you must collect your luggage when you land and clear it through customs. If your luggage is bagged and tagged for your next flight, you simply put it in the baggage transfers area outside Customs. Most budget airlines don’t do this; However, they do tend to be more reliable with baggage arrivals.
If you are an Australian citizen you must get a visa waiver with your passport details from https://esta.cbp.dhs.gov/esta/ it’s an online form and costs US $14.00.

When you land & it looks like this you know you are in for an epic trip
Snowcation is all about linking snowcationers directly with property owners, which will usually get you the best value accommodation. Generally Americans only get 2 weeks annual leave so if you are booking for a two week stay owners will negotiate a cheaper price for you as most of their books are range from a weekend to just one week.
Most properties will be condos and range from Ski In/Ski Out or maybe either a Ski In or Ski Out meaning one way there will be a small walk.
If you are more budget conscious and choose accommodation that is not on snow don't worry the free bus service is very easy to manage.
20 metres to the chair, ski to your front door, 4 minute walk to Main St, bus service available.
